“Death Song”
In separate incidents a police officer and his wife are murdered and his adult son is missing. Kevin Kearney's son, Clayton, is assigned to find out what happened. When Kearney joins the investigation he and Clayton begin to know each other a little better and start to become friends.

Clayton is Kearney's son by a previous relationship. The two never had much of a chance to be father and son but the process is beginning while Kearney's wife Sarah works on her recovery from her stint in the Middle East where she was injured saving the lives of others.
